I'm the person behind the cards, illustrations and colourful prints, based on the Ayrshire Coast in the West of Scotland. What started out as a one-off print design of Ailsa Craig has stretched in to a growing collection of fun and textured illustrations.

I always found art the easiest and most enjoyable subject at school, and knew that I wanted to pursue a career in art or design, so I studied and became a graphic designer, working as a photographer alongside.

After working in-house and with design agencies, as well as a stint as a wedding photographer, I decided in 2021 to make my "one day" dream a reality, and officially start my business as Kate + Coast.

I now split my time between working with wonderful clients, and growing my design and illustration business - and it's been the best decision that I've ever made. It means that I get to enjoy illustrating fun and colourful designs for your home, greetings cards for a lovely message, as well as sharing a small part of the excitement as you plan your wedding day.
